Terms of use

GooDu is an automated index of publicly reachable storefronts. It is a directory and a hand-off: it describes what can be observed from the outside and links to the site itself. It sells nothing, and it takes no part in any transaction. Using this site means accepting the terms below.

1. What this service is

• An index, not a shop. GooDu offers no cart, no checkout, no payment, and no delivery. There is no purchase entry point anywhere on this site.
• No account. There is no registration, no login and no user profile — see Privacy for what that means for your data.
• No assessment. We do not compute, publish or imply a score, a rating of quality, or a recommendation for any indexed site. The inputs the order is built from are stated in full on How results are ordered.

2. What you may do, and what you may not

You may read, search, and follow the links to the sites themselves.

You may not:

• Present our output as an endorsement. A listing, a position, or a metric means only that our probe observed the fact shown. Presenting it as approval, certification, verification, or recommendation — by us — is a misstatement of what this service is.
• Use this site to defraud, or to advertise unlawful goods or services. This includes using our pages, or the fact of a listing, as material in a scam.
• Impose a load that degrades the service for others, or attempt to bypass the published rate limits, the robots policy in /robots.txt, or any access control.
• Resell or mirror the index as your own product, or present a copy of these pages as a service operated by you.

3. What we do not promise

• No guarantee of accuracy. Every metric on this site is a fact collected automatically at a point in time — an HTTP response status, a feature of a public page, a domain-registration record. It can be delayed, stale or wrong. It is shown for reference only.
• No guarantee of availability. The service is provided “as is”. It may be unavailable, may change, and may be discontinued. Indexed entries are added and removed over time without notice.
• No evaluation of any listed site. A site being listed says nothing about its legality, safety, honesty or quality. See What GooDu is for the full disclaimer.

4. Third-party sites are not ours

When you follow a link from this site you leave GooDu. What happens next — prices, delivery, refunds, disputes, what that site does with your data — is between you and that site. We are not a party to it, we receive nothing from it, and we give no guarantee for any site's goods, services, conduct or fulfilment.

5. Notices, takedown and complaints

Rights notices, takedown requests and fraud reports are handled on a separate page: Rights notices & reporting. A notice that meets the requirements of 《中华人民共和国民法典》第一千一百九十五条 is acted on. Complaints about the service itself may also be sent to [email protected].

Manual action on the index can only remove an entry. There is no action that raises one, and every manual action is logged for audit — see How results are ordered, the section “Manual action, and how it is bounded”.

6. Intellectual property

• Content of indexed sites. We claim no rights in it. Names, headings, logos and page content of indexed sites belong to their owners, and — by design — are not reproduced on our listing pages.
• This site. The pages, the presentation of the observed data, and the compilation itself belong to the operator of GooDu. You may quote from it with attribution and a link; you may not present it as your own.

7. Limits of liability

To the extent permitted by applicable law, the operator of GooDu is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential loss arising from the use of, or inability to use, this service — including loss arising from a decision taken on the basis of a metric shown here, or from any dealing with a third-party site reached through a link from here. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

8. Changes, governing law, contact

• Changes. These terms may be revised. The effective date at the foot of this page is updated when they are; continued use after that date is acceptance of the revised text.
• Governing law. This service is operated from the People's Republic of China. These terms are governed by the laws of the People's Republic of China, and disputes fall to the competent court at the operator's place of domicile.
